2. Proposal Writer

Who we are

CIVINET CY-EL is the network of local public authorities of Greece and Cyprus, which is dedicated to promoting sustainable mobility in the two Greek-speaking countries, under the auspices of the CIVITAS initiative and the ELTIS platform. CIVINET CY-EL is run by “CIVINET CY-EL Secretariat”, a non-profit organisation, responsible for the financial management, coordination and administration of the Network and its supporting structures (Committees & Working Groups), alongside all of the activities performed.

Our role

The role of CIVINET CY-EL Network is to help raise awareness of citizens, policy makers and political members/stakeholders about sustainable mobility and focus its activities on building capacity through education and specialized training for employees that are occupied in both public and private sector. It provides support to members of the network on raising funding tools as well as to funding institutions on creating specialized financial programmes/instruments. CIVINET CΥ-EL specializes in providing consultancy on the suitable adaptation of legal frameworks to relevant ministries and the promotion of municipalities’ needs and achievements in the national and European level.

1. Project Manager

Your role

As a Project Manager of the EU Projects of the Organisation (especially Interreg-MED and Horizon 2020), you will take the ownership of the entire project lifecycle from the proposal preparation to the development and exploitation phases. You will be required to research, propose, and develop more than one projects at the same time, while you will be responsible for managing the complete life cycle of idea -> proposal -> project -> and the delivery of final outcome. You should be interested in obtaining a complete managerial role, meaning that you will be supervising, coordinating, monitoring and satisfying any functional, legal or financial requirements are necessary.

Job Description

  • EU Project Management, including project coordination
  • Communication with project partners and funding authorities, organisation and attendance of project meetings, financial management, etc.
  • Full production or finalisation of deliverables (e.g. studies, reports, publications, articles, training material, dissemination material, event organisation etc.)
  • Participation in the preparation of new project proposals
  • Coordination and supervision of the collection and analysis processes regarding quantitative and qualitative data
  • Representation of the project team or/and the Organisation in project meetings and international events (conferences, forums etc.)
  • Networking and promotion in benefit of the Organisation in international events, as well as in everyday life
  • Focus on transnational projects in the fields of mobility, spatial planning, innovation, environment, energy, circular economy, tourism etc.

Requirements

  • University degree in related fields
  • Demonstrated experience (at least 5 years) in participating in or managing EU projects
  • Fluent oral and writing English skills
  • Strong Computer literacy
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Availability for often trips by airplane in European Union (mostly)

Qualifications preferred

  • MSc degree
  • Large experience in stakeholder management, and comfortable collaborating widely at various levels.
  • Demonstrated experience with agile development and lean practices
  • Knowledge of another EU language, such as German or French, is preferred

Personal Skills

  • Creative, analytical, and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • High commitment in respecting working deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

2. Proposal Writer

Your role

As a freelance Proposal Writer, you will act as an external partner and take action every given chance. You will take the responsibility of transforming ideas into proposals for new projects. You will be required to research, propose, prepare and finalise more than one proposal at the same time. You must be interested in obtaining a leadership role and having the ability to follow up all the steps until the proposal submission. You will be supervising, coordinating and cooperating with other contributors. You will be handling of everyday oral and written communication within the Organisation’s working team, the external partners, the partners of each consortium, various stakeholders, etc.

Job Description

  • Looking for opportunities and announcements of new projects daily
  • Concept planning
  • Seeking for other partners to join the consortium
  • Communication with proposal partners and funding authorities
  • Organisation and attendance of consortium meetings, budget distribution and financial agreements with other partners, etc.
  • Composing the texts as well as copy-editing texts of other colleagues and partners
  • Coordination and finalisation of the text of the proposal

Requirements

  • University degree of related field
  • Solid and Demonstrated experience in proposal writing
  • Demonstrated experience (at least three years) in Projects and Funding Frameworks
  • Fluent oral and writing English skills
  • Strong Computer literacy
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong networking

Qualifications preferred
